The Project Lead - Security Systems will act as the on-site coordinator and crew lead supervisor for program and installation of Security Systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV and Intrusion systems) per manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings. The Project Lead - Security Systems’s task will be to ensure job completion according to company and customer quality and safety requirements while maintaining the efficiency of the staff assigned to the project. Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Lead - Security Systems will consistently supervise several Crew Leads - Security Systems, assume responsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training, uphold company and customer safety and quality guidelines, hold weekly safety meetings, initiate performance-related communications, and escalates to the Security Systems Project Manager if necessary. The Project Lead - Security Systems coordinates with the SS Project Manager to ensure productivity, project completion and compliance with the project budget. The Project Lead - Security Systems fully completes all IES Communications LLC. and project paperwork accurately and on time (specifically timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and other required documentation). The Project Lead - Security Systems serves as the main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns and attends facility and construction meetings when required. The Project Lead - Security Systems performs work consistently demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge of card access, CCTV, CATV and intrusion systems; troubleshoots and resolves technical issues as they arise. The Project Lead - Security Systems will complete other responsibilities as assigned. Min: USD $36.00/hr Max: USD $40.00/hr Physical and Mental Requirements
The Project Lead - Security Systems must be self‑motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvements. The Project Lead - Security Systems must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners. The Project Lead - Security Systems must act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representatives. The Project Lead - Security Systems must possess proven problem‑solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentations. Must be able to stand and walk large job sites regularly. The Project Lead - Security Systems must work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lb and move up to 75 lb. The Project Lead - Security Systems must see and distinguish different colors, read small print and recognize audible signals such as dial tones. The Project Lead - Security Systems must travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed. Regular attendance is mandatory. Tools
Basic hand tools: screwdriver (all sizes, regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (adjustable, needle‑nose, lineman), hammer, cable stripper, insulated crimping tool, flashlight, gloves; multimeter, butt‑set, toner/wand, coax compression and/or hex crimp tool. Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements
Must possess at least a high school diploma or GED equivalency. Must possess a minimum of five years of experience in security systems installation. Must possess a minimum of twelve months supervisory and/or managerial experience. Must possess and effectively use the tools listed above. Must interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reports and quality requirements. Must know the universal communications color codes. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project). Must meet company minimum driving standards. Career Path
