How you will shape the future of the Sourcing Department
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sourcing, finance, operations, and engineering, to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
Participate in plant-level initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
Work closely with Stores, Plant Maintenance and Engineering teams to validate appropriate parts and items prior to order placement.
Coordinate with preferred suppliers and plant personnel to update information on purchase orders or place new requisitions.
Actively reduce the number of MRO SKUs while maintaining inventory quality and efficiency.
Serve as a system administrator for required platforms, including maintenance, accounting (SAP), and master data (IMA).
Maintain purchasing information records (pricing and lead times) and for requisition approvals.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and safety standards by proactively managing the Supplier Compliance system (Abbottsfield).
Undertake sourcing projects assigned to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.
Participate in monthly and ad hoc meetings to evaluate and improve procurement and sourcing strategies.
Independently solicit proposals, analyze quotations, and issue purchase orders for materials and services.
Place orders, issue releases, close orders, and manage related transactions to meet material and service requirements.
Expedite and monitor orders, arrange transportation, and follow up on outstanding transactions.
You Will Be Someone Who Can Bring
Minimum high school diploma or GED; at least two years of college or equivalent experience required. A four-year degree is preferred.
2–4 years (with a college degree) or 4–6 years (with a high school diploma) of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or materials management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with PowerBI is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced relationship building.
Proficiency in creativity, innovation, managing priorities, problem solving, and technical excellence.
