Job Summary The Enterprise Architect has a strong technical background and the ability to work across the enterprise with business and technology teams to develop solutions that meet the needs of the business within the Enterprise Architecture guidelines. You will create an overview of current and future business and IT processes to establish and implement changes to the operational environment. Your facilitation skills and exposure to data management and data governance, combined with a rudimentary understanding of the technical implementation, will ensure success in this role. You will work with Solution Architects and must have experience with integration architectures, architectural patterns, and service‑oriented architecture within the context of Health and Human Services; Medicaid experience is preferable. Great negotiation, presentation, collaboration, and relationship‑management skills are required to develop solutions that meet key strategic initiatives while delivering high‑performing integrated solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties
Recommend and participate in activities related to the design, development, and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) including design processes, architectural artifact requirements, and architectural best practices.
Recommend and participate in the analysis, evaluation, and development of enterprise long‑term strategic and operating plans and delivery roadmaps, ensuring EA objectives align with enterprise business objectives.
Recommend and participate in the development of data management strategy, data architecture, and data governance processes.
Recommend and participate in the design and implementation of standards, tools, and methodologies, and lead adoption.
Identify and recommend areas for further study and participate in Proof‑of‑Concept projects to investigate architectural possibilities and strengthen adoption arguments.
Effectively collaborate with projects to review objectives and constraints across the Medicaid enterprise and determine conformance with the EA, SOA, and software engineering patterns, recommending the most suitable technical architecture and defining high‑level solutions.
Ensure technology solutions are properly secured according to Identity Management and Access Control standards.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
8+ years of enterprise architecture experience.
Highly knowledgeable about industry and government standards such as TOGAF, ITIL, ISO, FEA, MITA, and others.
Experience developing architecture models in the Health and Human Services sector using standard tools and notations.
Desirable: Experience in Data Management, Data Architecture, and Data Governance in Health and Human Services.
Desirable: Rudimentary understanding of cloud architecture and implementation patterns.
Ability to grasp complex technical concepts quickly.
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong collaborative skills and ability to prevent or reduce conflict.
Timeframe
Full‑time, W2 with competitive salary and benefits. No C2C or 1099 employment.
Location
Remote, Eastern Standard Time work hours – Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
