Maintenance Technician II
Work Schedule: Tue - Fri / 6am - 4pm
Role Purpose : The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for most major equipment repairs, upgrades, installations and changes related to the warehouse and packaging operations, including MHE repairs and PMs. This role will provide general maintenance support to the Maintenance Technician I role. The base responsibilities include general repair and troubleshooting for mechanical equipment such as forklifts and other functional equipment. Other general responsibilities involve painting, landscaping, and other related building maintenance tasks. This role will also perform the quarterly, bi‑annual and annual PMs as per schedule.
Key Accountabilities
Perform basic maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
Perform general building upkeep, such as landscaping, painting, carpentry, and other directed building maintenance tasks.
Perform manual repairs when necessary, such as fixing locks and replacing windows, while ensuring proper safety protocols.
Adjust and maintain fire suppression systems.
Assist Maintenance Technician I with maintenance/troubleshooting for repair of electrical systems, including MHE equipment and other functional use equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections of facility equipment such as stretch wrappers, compactors, and other powered industrial equipment.
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates.
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace pneumatic equipment such as diverters, air compressors, lubricators, hoses, and coils.
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps.
Use welding equipment, basic machine shop and fabrication tools.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as stretch wrappers, compactors and other power industrial equipment.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Trade School Certifications, desirable
MHE Certifications, desirable
Experience in the operation of high‑speed packaging equipment, including human‑interface robots and recipe storage, desirable
1+ years of experience in MHE repair and maintenance, desirable
1+ years of experience in a production environment, desirable
1+ years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic or similar role, desirable
