The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AI/ML, including LLMs, multimodal learning, and reinforcement learning with human feedback, along with experience translating research into robust, scalable healthcare applications. Responsibilities Technical Leadership:
Lead design and implementation of core AI/ML systems, setting technical direction for model development, deployment, and integration across the platform. Generative AI Development:
Build, fine?tune, and optimize large language models and multimodal AI for clinical reasoning, data extraction from unstructured sources (EHR, PDFs, imaging), and physician copilots. Agentic Pipelines:
Develop intelligent agent workflows and speculative decoding methods to improve automation, decision support, and interpretability. End?to?End Ownership:
Oversee training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring of AI/ML models, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Cross?Functional Collaboration:
Partner with product, data engineering, and clinical experts to identify high?value healthcare use cases and translate them into technical solutions. Innovation & Research:
Stay current with AI/ML research trends and apply advanced techniques (RLHF, retrieval?augmented generation, adaptive alignment) to healthcare?specific challenges. Mentorship:
Provide guidance and mentorship to ML engineers, research scientists, and data engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Requirements
Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related field. 10 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with significant leadership or technical lead experience. Expertise in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and distributed training at scale. Strong background in LLMs, multimodal learning, and/or reinforcement learning with human feedback. Experience deploying ML models in production environments, with emphasis on safety, interpretability, and reliability. Proficiency in Python, data engineering pipelines, and cloud?native infrastructure (Azure/AWS).
