Cambridge Housing Authority
The primary purpose of this position is to administer and coordinate the planning tasks associated with modernization, new development, and redevelopment of public housing at the Cambridge Housing Authority ("CHA" or "Authority").
All activities must support the CHA's strategic goals and objectives and produce results that accomplish the goals of the Planning and Development department.
Summary
This position is responsible for implementing the planning phases of modernization, new development, and redevelopment programs, utilizing available federal, state, and local programs to meet the housing needs of low-income persons in the City of Cambridge. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in program administration, contract administration, or housing planning is required; Master's degree in planning, business administration, real estate development, public administration, or architecture is preferred. Must have valid Massachusetts driver's license and be insurable under CHA policies. Technical Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS Outlook). Incumbent also should be capable of using financial, accounting, and file management software. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assists in planning studies and data collection and analysis efforts as necessary for the effective implementation of CHA's policies and programs. Assists in representing the Authority in meetings and discussions with funding agencies, city officials, and tenant/citizen groups in conjunction with modernization, development, and redevelopment activities. Responsible for implementation of the planning phases of modernization, new development, and redevelopment programs. Performs design and project management functions, including preparing recommendations on the scope of projects, soliciting, selecting, and administering architects and engineers, and maintaining records documenting project process. Performs other related duties as assigned. Competencies

Office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
