Sales Development is the foundation of our sales organization where new business opportunities come to life. We are growing our GTM Teams and this is an important role for the growth and future of Swantide. We see this candidate as embracing the opportunity to work with the leadership team to create the foundational systems, process and success metrics for the future. Within the Business Development Representative (BDR) role, we support outbound sales teams by assisting them through strategic prospecting efforts and extensive account research. BDRs consistently make a tangible impact in the Sales Development Organization by generating millions of dollars of new business pipeline each year.

Responsibilities for Business Development Representative (BDR)

Generate new business pipeline (leads) primarily through prospecting outbound opportunities

Partner with our Salesforce PAM (Partner Account Manager) to effectively prospect the Salesforce AE & SE Teams

Attend Swantide events to build and manage relationships with Salesforce AE and SE team

Manage inbound leads that are driven by outbound effort

Nurture early-stage opportunities

Partner with our Founder Sellers to identify and source net new pipeline and assist by researching lines of business and personas

Align with internal account teams

Identify key decision makers within new accounts

Maintain operational hygiene in our CRM (Salesforce)

Qualifications for Business Development Representative

Ability to work in a fast paced startup environment. You think out-of-the-box and wow people with your interesting angles and quality work

Experience researching, account planning, prospecting, and cold calling into a large list of accounts that are a hybrid of net-new and existing install

Proven track record of achieving sales metrics and consistent achievement of year-over-year quota attainment

Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, accounting or related field (preferred)

2+ years in a lead generations field

A valid Passport - potential for domestic and future international travel

Excellent interpersonal capability

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize different projects and stay on schedule

Location - Austin or San Francisco
