Moss Heating & Cooling has a family history in these trades dating back several generations. Moss Heating and Cooling is looking for a skilled professional who installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial buildings. They focus on larger, more complex systems found in businesses, schools, and industrial facilities, rather than residential systems. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and sometimes new system installations. Responsibilities
Installation: Set up new HVAC systems according to blueprints and wiring plans. Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and servicing of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Troubleshooting: Diagnose problems with HVAC systems using specialized tools and techniques. Repairs: Fix faulty components, replace worn parts, and ensure systems are functioning safely and efficiently. Energy Management: Assist with the implementation and maintenance of energy-efficient HVAC systems. Customer Service: Interact with clients, explain maintenance needs, and address concerns. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of refrigeration, electrical, and control systems. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues with HVAC equipment. Mechanical Aptitude: Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment. Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety protocols and using equipment safely. Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and supervisors. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various environments, and stand for extended periods. Requirements
High school or equivalent Commercial HVAC experience Clear and valid driver’s license EPA Certification a plus Texas HVAC Technician Registration a plus HVAC Trade School degree and OSHA 10 Hour training are a plus Back Flow License a plus What you get from working at Moss
