Facilities Management – Parts Specialist Parts Specialist is responsible for tracking, procuring, storing, locating and issuing parts for a wide variety of building trades, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical, as well as general maintenance items used in the upkeep of County buildings and facilities. Additional duties include maintaining a computer database of parts used, received and issued; upkeep of inventory and records; placing and monitoring orders; and reconciling credit card purchases and accounting codes for payment.

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

Conditions of Employment Pre‑Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must undergo a background check which includes fingerprints, medical exam, and review of employment history.

Physical: Must be able to reach, lift, and move heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., either manually or with the aid of lifting devices.

Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job‑related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.

Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.

Salary increases contingent upon Property Related Revenue and/or statewide Realignment Sales Tax Collections performance.

Experience One (1) year of full‑time equivalent experience working in a parts procurement environment with primary responsibility for all of the following: locating, ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, and issuing materials and parts utilizing a computerized inventory management system.

Forklift experience and computer skills using Internet search engines, word processing, and spreadsheet programs are highly desirable.
