Baldor Specialty Foods is seeking a strategic and results-driven
Commercial Pricing and Profitability Manager
to lead the development and execution of pricing strategies that maximize margin, strengthen competitiveness, and support profitable growth. Reporting to the Commercial Revenue team, this role owns pricing governance, drives margin optimization initiatives, and serves as a key partner across Sales, Finance, and Technology. As Baldor continues to expand into high-growth categories, the Manager will oversee pricing processes, advance promotional pricing strategies, and lead the development of new pricing tools. The ideal candidate brings strong financial acumen, proven experience in pricing or margin management, and the ability to influence cross-functional decision-making.
Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Lead pricing operations across contracts, RFPs, rebates, and promotional programs.
Own the development and execution of pricing governance processes, including regular pricing reviews and margin improvement initiatives.
Evaluate pricing structures to balance competitiveness, customer elasticity, and profitability.
Drive net margin optimization by analyzing cost-per-case, rebate programs, and customer-level profitability.
Develop process improvements that streamline pricing workflows and approvals.
Oversee tools, reporting, and analytics to measure pricing effectiveness and margin performance.
Partner with Technology to design, implement, and scale a pricing tool that improves efficiency and insight.
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations leadership to align pricing strategies with customer and business needs.
Provide strategic recommendations and insights to senior leadership to guide decision-making.
Lead competitive pricing analyses to inform strategy and maintain market position.
Monitor external market conditions, customer behavior, and elasticity to identify opportunities and risks.
Guide promotional pricing and discounting strategies to support profitable growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
3–6 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or a related analytical role, ideally with exposure to pricing, margin, or P&L analysis.
Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze P&Ls with attention to detail.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools, ERP systems, or SQL a plus.
Demonstrated ability to translate financial insights into clear recommendations and actions.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in growing from a finance/accounting background into a commercial strategy role.
