Provide Division-wide support for Directors of Gift Planning (DGP) to achieve annual Gift Activity goals. Identify, cultivate, solicit, secure, and steward donors; target deferred gifts. Participate in the implementation of each DGP forecast and Marketing Plan (FMP). Support gift planning activities within the assigned coverage area; visit donors, advisors, and Corps as directed; build relationships with professionals (CPAs, CFPs, attorneys). Collaborate with Corps Officers, Donor Relations Directors (Major Gifts), and development staff to provide donors with exceptional service. Qualifications
Strong desire to serve donors and work on a team to achieve goals. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, finance, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (CFP, MBA, JD, CPA, CSPG, CAP) preferred. Comfortable with technical discussions involving financial or legal concepts. Ability to develop creative options and present choices; strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to maintain accurate records. Self-motivated, articulate, goal-oriented; able to work in fast-paced environments, both independently and as part of a team. Professional appearance and ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficient in MS Office; ability to learn CRM and other software; ability to travel for training, conferences, and donor visits. Duties & Responsibilities
Support all DGPs within the Division; assist in identifying, cultivating, finalizing, and stewarding gift plan commitments; manage marketing, metrics, and training activities. Assist in relationship-building with Corps Officers and staff; manage life-income plans (Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Bequests). Maintain annual stewardship for living bequest donors; maintain donor records; conduct donor visits as directed. Collaborate with professionals to provide donor service; coordinate site and donor visits. Metrics
Coordinate at least two gift planning proposals per week. Make at least ten substantive calls per week. Send at least twenty written communications per week (e.g., thank-you notes, cards). Participate in seminars as requested; record activities in CRM and Gift Report module. Marketing & Training
Develop and update annual multi-channel Forecast and Marketing Plan (FMP) per Territorial Headquarters guidelines. Implement DGP Forecast and Marketing Plan (FMP) throughout the year; coordinate with Divisional and Territorial staff and vendors. Participate in DGP trainings: monthly training calls, annual training, technical conferences, and mentor sessions. Other
Work within division and territory policies; adhere to gift acceptance policies; do not sign legal commitments on behalf of The Salvation Army. Avoid personal gain from donor contacts; no gratuities or bequest designations to the employee. Other duties as assigned. Physical & Communication Requirements
