Intake Coordinator, LPN, or Master Level Therapist
to join our team. We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Central Intake Coordinators to support our Inpatient Hospitals all located in Louisiana. We provide services to our Inpatient Hospitals 24/7. We are currently seeking qualified team members who can work PRN Weekends, 7AM-7PM and/or 7PM-7AM.
Beacon Behavioral LLC , formerly known as Synergy, was first established in 1998 as a free-standing Community Mental Health Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Today, Beacon Behavioral employs over 500 caring staff members at seven different outpatient locations in Louisiana, including Baton Rouge, Metairie, Slidell, Hammond, Bogalusa, Alexandria, and Opelousas as well as five inpatient hospitals located in New Orleans East, New Orleans Westbank, Lacombe, Lutcher and Bunkie.
Beacon offers inpatient psychiatric care to adults and seniors with acute mental health needs. Our inpatient program is designed to provide a short-term acute treatment for adults and seniors suffering from depression, other mood disorders, psychosis, suicidal preoccupation, decline in functioning, and behavioral changes due to a mental illness.

Responsibilities
Receive and manage inquiry calls and patient assessment packets from outside facilities.
Document information in an accurate and timely manner to ensure rapid response to referral sources.
Work closely with our clinical team to ensure that patients receive the care they need for admission to our facility in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist with referrals to the appropriate level of care if referral to community resources is recommended.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field; preferred master's level social worker.
LPN with a minimum of 2 years inpatient behavioral health setting and/or 2 years of master's level work in an inpatient psychiatric facility.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to speak with doctors and healthcare professionals in a clear and concise manner.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
Knowledge of medical terminology, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a centralized intake, admissions or referral role.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes.
Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as mentally ill.
Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families throughout the intake process.

Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
