Pride Health – Phlebotomist Position (Edmond, OK)
Location: Edmond, OK 73013
Pay: $23 – $25 per hour (W2)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Duration: At least 3 months (contract with potential for hire)
Job Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process.
- Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms.
- Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results.
- Appropriately handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.
- Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal.
- Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers.
- Apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings.
- Prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes.
Job Requirements
- Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric specimens.
- Flexibility to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime.
- Demonstrated superior customer focus; clear communication with peers, supervisors, and patients; embrace change; and knowledge of our business.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a phlebotomist.
