Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a

First Line Tooling Manufacturing Manager

to lead our 787 Tooling & Crane team in North Charleston, South Carolina. This is a 3rd‑shift position.

You will develop and maintain cross‑functional relationships and partnerships with internal stakeholders across the Boeing South Carolina site. The team is involved in leading critical 787 airplane part moves as well as tool fabrication/repair. Key skills include promoting a safety culture for the team, professional collaboration, and operations leadership.

Position Responsibilities

Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.

Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Executes and leads in the BPS process.

Engages and promotes a safety culture.

Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Manages, develops, leads, coaches, and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

5+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.

3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal or informal role.

1+ years of experience with tool fabrication.

1+ years of experience with crane safety.

Willingness to work any shift assigned, including overtime and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

Experience with tool repair and preventative maintenance.

3+ years of experience teaching, coaching and developing others.

1+ years of 787 Program (or relevant aerospace) experience.

Shift This position is 3rd shift. Willingness to work any shift assigned, including overtime and weekends, is required.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $102,600 - $125,400
