Overview
Rapiscan Systems designs, manufactures, and markets security and inspection systems worldwide.
These systems inspect baggage, cargo, people, vehicles, and other objects for weapons, explosives,
drugs, and contraband. Rapiscan’s devices are deployed at airports, border crossings, railway stations,
seaports, terminals, government and military installations, and nuclear facilities.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field.
Achieve contractual requirements for metrics, information reporting, and customer management.
Respond to emergency and non‑scheduled calls for service daily within established response times.
Meet daily service repair needs, driving customer satisfaction at assigned sites.
Complete scheduled maintenance within required deadlines.
Document all maintenance and repair work and submit paperwork in the required timeframe.
Order, install, and return parts per regulation.
Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to company safety procedures and product workmanship procedures.
Report all accident and safety incidents. Complete accident reports when required and work with management to investigate, identify, and implement corrective/preventative actions.
Complete all training courses within a timely manner with stated passing grades.

Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
Report quality problems or defects to management for corrective action to avoid recurrence.
Perform duties that may be modified or assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
Associate of Science in electronics or related technical discipline or equivalent military training or experience.
4 years of experience in a field service environment, X‑ray industry highly desired, or Bachelor of Science in electronics, engineering, or related technical discipline.
Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assemblies, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Familiarity with test equipment (DVM and oscilloscope) and experience with high‑voltage and X‑ray producing equipment preferred.
Clear and concise business communication proficiency, oral and written.
Detail oriented, well organized, self‑motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
Computer literate: competence in MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.
Team player able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment with minimal oversight.
Flexible schedule based on contractual operational needs; non‑standard hours including on‑call, weekends, and holidays required.
Available to travel on short notice, non‑standard hours, weekends, and holidays to assist other field sites as required.
Travel required 0 – 75 % by air or car with some overnight stays.
Ability to pass an in‑depth background check – Sensitive Security Information (SSI).
U.S. citizen.
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
