CALTRANS ELECTRICIAN II – Caltrans District 3
Position to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of complex electrical and electronic devices for state facilities.
Location:
30 Rickard Street, San Francisco, California 94105
Salary:
$5,960.00 – $7,480.00 per month (New to State candidates hired at minimum).

Job Description and Duties Under direction of a Caltrans Electrical Supervisor, employees are responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of more complex electrical and electronic devices associated with state facilities. Employees may perform lead work as required involving office duties and lower level electrical positions. The position requires operation of light trucks, personnel hoists, vans and automotive vehicles. Employees may drive heavy trucks if properly licensed and may operate equipment such as trenchers, forklifts, air quality monitors, hoists and cranes with training and certification. Employees may be assigned to swing or night shift positions and work independently. Employee must establish a safe work environment, respond to emergency callouts before and after work hours, including holidays and weekends.
Minimum Requirements Minimum qualifications are detailed in the Class Specification. Candidates must have eligibility for the Caltrans Electrician II exam.
Special Requirements
Must pass a drug screening prior to being hired.
Must possess a valid, unrestricted Class C driver’s license.
Must have a valid driver’s license when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
