Position: Tool Room Manager
Pay: Starting at $35 – $42 per hour, compensation based on experience and qualifications.
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, specific hours to be mutually agreed upon per production requirements.
Reports to: Tooling Manager
As the Tool Room Manager, you will be joining a dynamic team at a growing manufacturing company as a very important part of our business. This is a hands‑on position – you’ll spend approximately 75% of your time assisting on the floor and 25% with administrative responsibilities.
This shop floor position is responsible for the repair, and construction of complex tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges where close tolerances must be maintained. Additional duties include but are not limited to the following:
Normal clean up of production tooling (routine maintenance).
Design, development, and construction of replacement parts for production tooling and machinery.
Manual machining of tooling components using Proto Trak mills, manual lathe, surface grinders.
Perform complicated change overs and diagnose and solve tooling problems.
Print reading, CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred).
Performs other related duties to support production goals.
A successful candidate should have advanced math skills and an ability to measure and maintain close tolerances where required, and a minimum of five years of tool room experience. Good oral and written communication skills are essential. TIG welding and CNC programming skills are helpful. Must work cooperatively with other team members. A positive attitude and regular and punctual attendance is required. Safety is our #1 priority.
