About The Role

As a Business Development Lead, you will be responsible for engaging with senior‑level executives, managing the negotiation process, and ultimately signing key strategic regional grocery brands in the United States.

Someone who has proven they can build best‑in‑class partnerships with large brands and thrives in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. Your primary focus will be to form new partnerships, including account outreach, pitching, negotiation, and onboarding.

What You’ll Do

Run an end‑to‑end sales process: sales discovery and outreach, pitching, negotiation, and onboarding.

Engage with potential partners: from C‑suite to individual contributors, using data to tell a compelling story.

Use internal and external data to understand potential and influence outcomes.

Continuously improve our sales capabilities as an organization.

Basic Qualifications

Experience: 4+ years in enterprise sales, consulting, or partnerships with large, complex enterprise brands and organizations.

Data‑Driven: Ability to tell a data‑driven story and work across large sets of data.

Collaborative Leadership: Passion for digging into tactics, leveraging analytical skills, and comfortably leading conversations with Engineers, Product Managers, or C‑level executives to secure buy‑in.

Self‑Sufficient: Speed, resourcefulness, and a go‑getter mentality. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and navigating ambiguity.

Business Acumen: Understand both strategic and technical aspects of a deal from Uber’s and the Merchant’s perspectives.

Project Management: Comfortable concurrently managing many opportunities on short time horizons.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with food delivery, retail, and/or third‑party marketplaces.

Financial modeling.

SQL.

Salesforce.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: USD 131,000 – 145,000 per year (Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; Seattle, WA) or USD 145,000 – 161,000 per year (New York, NY; San Francisco, CA). All US locations are eligible for Uber’s bonus program, equity awards, sales bonuses, and other compensation types. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
