Scope of Position The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing health‑care services to patients within the parameters of a standard‑care or supervisory agreement with an attending physician member of the medical staff. The APP collaborates with physicians and other clinicians to deliver a full scope of patient care, focusing on prevention, management of acute and chronic conditions, and performs medical services authorized by the credentialing body and certifying organization.
Position Summary The APP delivers health‑care services to patients in collaboration with a licensed physician. Services include acute and chronic care, patient education, counseling, health promotion, prevention, and appropriate referrals to other health‑care providers and community resources.
Minimum Qualifications – APRN Path
Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in the State of Ohio.
Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies for national certification exam recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Master of Science in Nursing.
0 years of relevant experience required.
0–2 years of BMT or Hematology experience preferred.
Minimum Qualifications – PA Path
Graduate of a PA‑C program that qualifies for national certification exam recognized by the National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants.
Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA‑C.
0 years of relevant experience required.
0–2 years of BMT or Hematology experience preferred.

This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team is a unique service that manages allogeneic transplant patients throughout their disease process, addresses complications such as graft‑versus‑host disease, and cares for cell‑therapy patients (CAR‑T, TIL) in clinical trials and FDA‑approved therapies. The APP develops deep, long‑term relationships with patients, providing expert care during initial transplant and subsequent complications.

Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
