Position Overview The Talent Solutions Manager provides leadership for a team of five professionals and specialists who manage the university's recruitment, selection, and pre‑employment processes for all permanent (non‑faculty), temporary, and student employees. The Manager leads the staff in overseeing training and orientation on recruitment policies, procedures, and best practices to campus managers engaged in the process of hiring employees in these classifications. This position manages all administrative aspects of the Talent Solutions unit including website updates, policies and procedures, reporting and analysis, and process improvements. The Talent Solutions Manager administers these programs with an emphasis on outstanding customer service, efficiency, and effectiveness and utilizes state-of-the-art technology to facilitate program administration.

This position manages two HR Consultants and three HR Specialists. The Talent Solutions Manager will support the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Human Resources in leading and executing key HR initiatives that are broad based with university‑wide impact. The Manager is expected to be a strong leader in building our university workforce, strengthening employee engagement and developing a high‑performance culture. This individual will be responsible for providing oversight for the recruitment life‑cycle ensuring alignment with the university's strategic goals. As part of a transforming Human Resources organization will also guide the development, design, and implementation of high‑impact talent programs for executive searches, dual employment, orientation and onboarding, compliance, and faculty/staff/student employment. The Manager will serve as a consultant and subject matter expert to university leadership, collaborating with and serving as a consultant and advisor to department heads, deans, campus leaders, and university administrators to promote an engaged HR culture with campus constituents related to university‑wide talent management initiatives. The position will manage an effective system for recruiting high‑quality talent. These duties include the administration of recruitment policies and processes, employing best practices and market trends to promote HR's strategic objectives and ensure consistent delivery of the highest customer outcomes. The position will also develop the employment function to incorporate proactive outreach, coaching, and solutions‑oriented strategies to aid managers and supervisors in enhancing levels of employee engagement and satisfaction. Provides oversight for on‑going training and consultation responsibilities as they relate to onboarding, talent acquisition, retention and workforce planning. The Talent Solutions Manager will promote and support university efforts to accomplish neutral initiatives that attract and retain a well‑versed and talented workforce at all levels in the university. In addition, this individual will help manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Division of Human Resources including supervising assigned direct reports and advising/supporting other centers for expertise in the completion of their daily activities as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree with 1‑2 years of supervisory experience and 10 or more years of progressively responsible professional human resources management experience. All degrees must be from accredited institutions.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education: Master’s Degree in business, human resources, or related field. Ten years of human resources administration experience focused in talent solutions that includes five years of supervisory responsibility. Three to five years’ experience with Excel, HRIS systems, Banner or similar enterprise‑wide system. Professional certifications desirable, not required: PHR/SPHR, SHRM‑CP/​SCP, or CMS.

Hybrid Work Arrangement Hybrid (Employees are working part‑time in the office to perform job tasks that require on‑campus engagement, and the remaining time at home).
