Wisniewski & Associates, LLC seeks an attorney licensed in New Jersey and New York with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience for its real estate practice. All candidates must be able to work independently and have excellent research, writing, and communication skills. New York admission is a plus.
Duties
Meet with clients and review client information; confer with managing member and associate attorneys.
Research laws, statutes, ordinances, regulations, court opinions, including precedents and reasoning.
Develop strategy by anticipating how the law applies to a client’s situation; identify and evaluate legal options; prepare contracts, documents, and memoranda; explain legal strategies and obtain client approval.
Prepare matters by gathering documents, facts, and other material; attend meetings, hearings, conference calls; review investigative findings; consult with experts; prepare and interview witnesses; develop arguments and testimony; complete filings and supervise paralegals.
Manage files by monitoring schedules and expediting requirements.
Appear on behalf of clients or support other attorneys in meetings or hearings; organize exhibits and evidence; schedule witnesses.
Help clients by initiating and maintaining contact; keep clients informed of case status.
Update knowledge by continuing education, reading professional publications, maintaining networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Skills/Qualifications Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor degree from a U.S. accredited law school and have been admitted to the practice of law in New Jersey and New York. A successful candidate will have 1 to 2 years of relevant legal experience, must maintain client confidentiality, and possess excellent research, written and oral communication, presentation skills, and the ability to analyze and digest information.
