Acute Pain Medicine & Regional Anesthesiologist We are MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. (part of MedStar Medical Group Anesthesiology, the largest anesthesia group in the Washington, D.C. region). Our Acute Pain Service focuses on peripheral nerve and neuraxial catheter placement, multimodal analgesia, and opioid minimization for patients, including spine and transplant surgery.

About the Role We seek a full‑time anesthesiologist with expertise in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine. Preferred candidates have completed a regional anesthesia or acute pain medicine fellowship. The successful candidate will lead the Acute Pain Service, perform regional blocks, and collaborate with orthopedic, plastic, spine, and transplant teams.

Qualifications

Board‑eligible/Board‑certified anesthesiologist

Completed or in progression towards a regional anesthesia and acute pain fellowship

Experience with peripheral nerve and neuraxial catheter placement

Proficiency in multimodal analgesia protocols and opioid stewardship

Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills

Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:

USD $430,000.00 – USD $460,000.00 per year
