Living & Location The University is located in Carrollton, Georgia. Carrollton offers a small-town vibe with city amenities, cultural events, and outdoor activities. The campus and surrounding community provide a range of housing and recreational opportunities.

Location Our campus is located at 1601 Maple Street, Carrollton, GA 30118.

Faculty and staff members are expected to be physically present on campus as needed to support the in-person educational experience and on-campus vitality at the University of West Georgia. Depending upon teaching assignments and student demand, this could include the Carrollton or Newnan campuses.

Job Summary This person is responsible for all phases of the Placement Process. Other duties and responsibilities include: Conducting the Internship Orientation Meetings (Fall, Spring each year); Advise students regarding field experiences, teacher education admission, appeals, and general policies and procedures; Develop and maintain relationships with school systems, faculty, and staff for effective placements; Assist departments with processing teacher education admission and appeals applications; Serve as secretary member of Appeals Committee each semester; Maintain accurate student records; Prepare end term reports; Design and review forms and presentation materials for support for the Office of Field Experiences; Supervise SA workers.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all phases of the Placement Process, including processing placement applications, maintaining accurate databases, processing system requests, assisting with placement decisions, and trouble shooting all requests to a satisfactory conclusion. Conducting the Internship Orientation Meetings - Fall, Spring each year.

Advise students regarding field experiences, teacher education admission, appeals, and general policies and procedures.

Maintain accurate student records according to UWG, USG, and GaPSC guidelines.

Develop and maintain relationships with school systems, faculty, and staff for effective placements. Assist departments with processing teacher education admission and appeals applications.

Prepare end term reports including honoraria payments, 50-mile waiver, and practicum/internship fees.

Design and review forms and presentation materials for the Office of Field Experiences.

Supervise SA workers.

Qualifications Educational Requirements

High School Diploma

Required Experience

5 years administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications : Bachelor\'s degree

Preferred Experience : 3 years experience in K-12 school setting or Higher Education; experience with Microsoft Office.

Proposed Salary $62,400 Annually. Paid on a Monthly Basis.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities ABILITIES : Extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

KNOWLEDGE : General knowledge of institutional policies and procedures. Good technology skills.

SKILLS : Experience in database management, office management, computer processing, and interaction with the public is helpful. Possess strong personal skills, excellent written and verbal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of school professionals as well as university professionals.
