Base pay range
$90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
Constellation Search Group is looking for an Accounting Manager for a full-time direct hire position. This role involves overseeing the entire accounting process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial operations. The Accounting Manager will professionalize the accounting department by implementing best practices and supporting strategic financial planning. They will also collaborate with various departments to ensure financial transparency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire accounting process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial operations.
- Manage the month-end close process to deliver timely and accurate financial statements.
- Handle cash flow management, including forecasting, bank reconciliations, and cash position reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable, payroll, and balance sheet integrity to ensure proper financial controls.
- Manage corporate insurance policies, support real estate and leasing activities, and assist with audit compliance.
- Implement best practices, process improvements, and automation in the accounting department.
- Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Accounts Payable, and Operations for accurate monthly closings and financial transparency.
- Support operational needs, including vendor relations, corporate entity registration, 1099 reporting, and front desk scheduling.
- Contribute to strategic financial planning and partner with leadership on cash management, reporting enhancements, and business decision support.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of progressive technical accounting experience, ideally within a growing healthcare organization.
- Minimum of 2 years of people leadership, mentorship, or project management experience.
- Strong understanding of healthcare accounting principles, particularly Accounts Receivable (AR) and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
- Experience in small to mid-sized companies (approximately $100M annual revenue).
- Willingness to step beyond core accounting duties to support overall business operations and administrative functions.
- Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and enhance financial reporting timeliness and accuracy.
- CPA certification preferred (active or inactive).
