We’re seeking a motivated Manufacturing Systems Engineer to support marketplace operations within our clients growing mfg facility in the greater Ruther Glen area! This role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing, materials flow, and supply chain operations .
You’ll work closely with leaders in procurement and value stream management to improve efficiency across kitting, Kanban, and inventory systems while contributing to a lean, data-driven environment.
Support daily operations of an internal manufacturing marketplace supplying kits, parts, and materials to production teams.
Implement and maintain lean workflows and visual controls to improve material flow and accountability.
Assist in designing and managing kitting operations to support production and service needs.
Help develop and sustain Kanban systems and replenishment triggers for high-use components.
Partner with procurement and planning teams to ensure timely and accurate material availability.
Utilize tools such as Excel, ERP systems, and WMS to track, analyze, and improve operational performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field (required)
~1+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, warehouse, operations, or supply chain roles
~ Internship or co-op experience in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus
~ Familiarity with Kanban, lean materials flow, and kitting systems
~ Proficiency with Excel, ERP, and inventory management tools
~ Exposure to barcode scanning, WMS, or warehouse layout design is beneficial
