Night shift, 40 hours per week
Hours:
8 hours shifts, Mon-Fri, 0730-1600 + call
Pay Rate:
Competitive pay of $2640 per week, with weekly pay, $771 tax and $1869 stipend
Job Requirements
Must have a minimum of 2 year experience
Nuclear medicine imaging experience is necessary
Must be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
Valid CNMT license, have ARRT certification, and BLS certification
Type of equipment–Philips, EMR– Meditech
Additional Requirements: compliance with current facility health standards
Job Responsibilities
Communicates information effectively to appropriate personnel.
Reviews physician orders and patient records to determine procedures required.
Prepares patient for nuclear medicine procedures by accurately assessing patient needs and providing patient education as appropriate to the individual patient.
Operates computer and nuclear medicine equipment for data acquisition, reconstruction of images, and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
Prepares patient films for interpretation by nuclear medicine physician.
Prepares radiopharmaceuticals, calculates correct dosages, and administers treatment to patients as appropriate.
Positions and adjusts equipment over the body area to be studied and operates the imaging systems.
Performs ordered laboratory tests on body specimens using radioactive substances.
Uses quality control techniques to ensure radiopharmaceutical quality and efficient and effective operation of equipment.
