Department Overview
Engineering Career Services is a small and dedicated team focused on serving all students in the College and our alumni. We offer career services for all our engineering students to help steer them in the right direction academically and professionally. Those services include career advising, career exploration planning, resume and interview workshops, as well as two large career fairs. Our goal is to help our students achieve their career goals! Anticipated Start Date: January 2026 Anticipated End Date (If Applicable): May 2026 (position may continue beyond AY25-26) Remote Work Eligibility Detail: Not Remote Anticipated Hours Per Week: Minimum: 8, Maximum:10 Schedule: 8-10 hours/week. The work schedule can vary based on class schedule. Additional hours may be available. Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum: $15.00 Number of Positions: 2-4 Qualifications
Currently enrolled undergraduate student in the College of Engineering, graduating on or after December 2026 is preferred. Prior experience with ECS services or participation in internships/co-ops preferred. Prior experience providing peer support, is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Interest in career development and helping peers succeed. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable and punctual. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Position Summary / Job Duties
Conduct resume and cover letter reviews during drop-in advising hours. Guide students in using ECS tools and resources, including Handshake. Support ECS workshops, employer events, and career fairs. Promote ECS services through outreach and peer engagement. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all student interactions. Physical Demands
