Required Equipment & Safety
Must own and operate your own ATV with a working plow.
Must wear a helmet (not provided).
Self‑insured preferred, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Apply salt, sand, or de‑icing chemicals to prevent ice formation or melt existing ice.
Create clear, wide paths for safe pedestrian passage, ensuring entrances, exits, ramps, and other critical areas are accessible.
Exercise caution and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents while working in challenging weather and hazardous conditions.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding the status of activities, hazards, and issues.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including dates, times, areas cleared, and materials used via the First‑Choice service verification app.
Have the physical stamina for prolonged shoveling and labor in cold weather.
Collaborate with other snow removal team members to ensure efficient operations.
Participate in training sessions related to safe operations, equipment handling, and emergency response.
Working Conditions Long shifts, irregular hours, and weekends during snow and ice events. Operators must be comfortable with extended periods of snow shoveling, operating small machinery, and working in outdoor cold environments.
This position plays an essential role in ensuring safe and accessible pathways for pedestrians during winter weather.
