Overview SPA has an immediate need for a part‑time Special Program Analyst to support DARPA’s team onsite in Arlington, VA. The role will provide information and operational counsel to DARPA senior staff and program managers to ensure that DoD operational challenges, capability gaps, and current and future concepts of operations are understood and addressed.
Responsibilities
Provide information and operational counsel to DARPA senior staff and PMs on DoD operational challenges, capability gaps, and future concepts of operations.
Assist in determining the application of technologies to address challenges of military operations, including program planning, development, and execution.
Provide technical advice and recommendations on emerging military warfare and operational security challenges, as well as potential application of DARPA technology.
Facilitate forging of relationships between DARPA staff, military leaders, operational command and acquisition staffs, and operational subject matter experts to develop and execute technology demonstrations, evaluations, and transitions.
Identify and interface with military services’ requirements, acquisition, and operational communities to assist DARPA senior staff and PMs in establishing enduring relationships and creating advocacy for DARPA technology.
Required Qualifications
Active Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree.
15+ years of DoD experience.
Experience with the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process and the DoD acquisition process.
Experience interfacing with senior military leaders and congressional staff on strategy, plans, and resourcing.
Ability to work onsite part‑time in Arlington, VA.
Desired Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance.
Direct experience supporting advanced technology programs.
Life Cycle Management experience.
Prior experience with the U.S. Army Special Operations Command.
