Brief Description
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling mechanically intricate products to desired quality specifications. Additional shared responsibilities include shipping and receiving, inventory management, and general warehouse labor.
Essential Functions
Assemble specialty beds and tables according to manufacturing specifications for each product.
Reference orders and print designs to select appropriate parts for assembly; inspect parts for defects.
Assemble products efficiently per internal training and work instructions/prints using hand tools.
Ensure that any accessory items are included with the built product prior to releasing the finished product for inspection by the Quality Team and packing/shipping team.
Review order, perform inspection, and complete assembly checklist after building unit(s).
Complete training, understand quality process, and follow quality procedures as required for provided high quality products to end users as well as FDA and ISO standards and regulations.
Notify Quality Assurance immediately if any product or material is nonconforming.
Notify Demand Planner or Director of Operations of inventory shortages as soon as possible and prior to running out.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Stop production immediately if any process or defective part affects product quality.
Complete work in a timely manner and be consistently at work and on time.
Strive to increase quality and productivity.
Create a positive culture by demonstrating respectful behaviors, support and assist coworkers, and contribute to a non-hostile and non-violent teamwork environment.
Notify supervisor/line lead if work has been completed and additional work is needed prior to the end of shift.
Follow policies and procedures; may offer suggestions and provide input into decisions affecting workflows of assembly team.
Comply with all quality standards to maintain a safe working environment and meet product quality criteria.
Document necessary activities to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, maintain product history reports, and track all products and parts.
Assist in quality testing of products.
Understand and adhere to Quality & Compliance policies and procedures.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment where necessary.
Contribute to a respectful, non-hostile, non-violent work environment.
Understand the purpose, value, and impact work has on product customers and users.

Requirements
A desire to learn more – as an Assembly Technician you will participate in our hands‑on training program.
Drive and adaptability – being able to adapt to an ever‑evolving industry to ensure our products meet end‑user needs.
Mechanical Aptitude – read blueprints and use hand tools to assemble tables from start to finish.
Ability to problem solve and identify process efficiencies and improvements – our open‑door policy encourages and benefits from ideas at all levels.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1+ year of work experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Forklift experience preferred.
Experience working with power tools, hand saws, banding pallets, crating, wrapping, and picking replacement part pulling.
Required to take a drug screen and criminal background check before hire date.
