Position Summary As a Mammographer, you will play a critical role in our mission to provide high‑quality mammography services for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases across patients of all ages. Under the general supervision of the Breast Imaging Manager, you will perform mammography exams, maintain radiologic equipment, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
The position operates Monday‑Friday day schedule. Holidays and weekends off. No on‑call or overnight work required.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high‑quality mammography exams in accordance with established protocols to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Operate and maintain radiologic and mammography equipment, ensuring optimal performance and patient safety.
Communicate effectively with patients to address concerns, explain procedures, and ensure a comfortable experience.
Provide technical supervision and mentorship to staff technologists and students, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Job Requirements Required Education
Completion of a two‑year post‑high‑school training program in an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
MSRT/ARRT (Mammography) certification required upon hire.
Valid Massachusetts State Radiology/Mammography License required upon hire.
Required Experience
Knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology and mammography and operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment to include mammography.
Preferred Experience & Skills
2‑3 years of experience as a Mammographer.
Advanced knowledge of mammography equipment operation and maintenance.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide technical supervision and mentor less experienced staff or students.
Strong attention to detail, commitment to patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.
