Responsibilities The Infant/Toddler Teacher will conduct a program for a group of children and manage all related activities.
Develop and implement a daily curriculum; submit to Lead Teacher two weeks before due.
Foster a nurturing, positive‑discipline environment.
Ensure smooth transitions, routines, nap time, health and safety procedures.
Complete progress reports and daily journals for each child.
Maintain a clean, safe, stable, and loving classroom environment.
Observe children to identify developmental, emotional, or behavioral needs; provide referrals as needed.
Supervise volunteers, interns, and specialists; ensure they do not have authority over children.
Communicate with Lead Teacher and Administration; voice suggestions and needs.
Participate in staff meetings and other meetings.
Represent the Salvation Army mission and adhere to policies and EEC regulations; perform all duties in compliance with applicable policies.
Qualifications
EEC Infant/Toddler Teacher certification.
At least one year of experience as a lead teacher in a licensed center.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Flexible, self‑motivated, high energy, positive attitude, open to change, and non‑judgmental.
Ability to collaborate with others and manage conflict positively.
