Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Sales, the

Catering Sales Manager

will actively respond to inquiries, prospect, and solicit business that enables the company to meet and exceed revenue goals in food, beverage, rentals, staffing and design. This position is suited for a sales professional who desires to be a part of an emerging sales team with the ability to grow into a Senior Event Director. A passion for food, beverage and perfectly executed events is a requirement for this position.

Essential Functions

Solicit new accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals. This will consist of telephone outreach, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.

Prepare correspondence to clients, including proposals, agreements, event-related documents as well as exceptionally clear internal communication.

Consult with clients on menu selection, rental requirements and on occasion, venue selection.

Collaborate with Culinary Leaders to custom plan menus and ensure profitability.

Participate in weekly sales meetings, BEO meetings and professional training.

Attend networking events, industry functions and regularly entertain prospective clients.

Maintain a professional knowledge of the event landscape, competitive set and strategic pricing.

Collaborate with the other operating departments to assure event success.

Demonstrate a can‑do attitude and the characteristics of a team player.

Be self‑managed and self‑motivated to achieve all objectives as set.

Professionally interact with clients, and internal team on‑site at events.

Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to produce repeat business.

Qualifications

College degree or equivalent.

3+ years experience in sales/catering.

Proficiency with Word, Excel, AllSeated (FileMaker a plus).

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public, etc.

Multi‑tasker, strong attention to detail.

Flexibility to travel and work non‑standard hours based on event schedules.

Intuitive planning and organizational abilities.

Excellent customer service skills.
