Lead ServiceNow Developer (Discovery, SPM)
Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
We are seeking a skilled Lead ServiceNow Developer with expertise in Discovery and Service Portfolio Management (SPM) to support the development, customization, and maintenance of our ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in creating and optimizing Discovery patterns, troubleshooting processes, and working with cloud environments to enable comprehensive asset discovery across hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures.
Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with the law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $120K to $130K/year & benefits (see below).
Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain ServiceNow Discovery patterns to ensure accurate and efficient data collection.
Research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Discovery processes, integrations, and data accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address incidents, update discovery configurations, and improve discovery workflows.
Utilize Regular Expressions (RegEx) for pattern customization, advanced data extraction, and optimization.
Work with various operating systems (Windows/Linux) to ensure reliable and comprehensive discovery data.
Leverage cloud concepts and platforms (GCP, Azure, etc.) to extend discovery capabilities across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Ensure all development efforts align with ServiceNow best practices, standards, and enterprise policies.
Document development architectures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.
Requirements
Hands‑on experience in ServiceNow Discovery Pattern Development and customization.
Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and their discovery requirements.
Proficiency in Regular Expressions (RegEx) for pattern creation and optimization.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or similar.
Active CSA (Certified System Administrator) and CAD (Certified Application Developer) certifications (mandatory).
Prior experience troubleshooting and resolving Discovery and integration issues.
Preferred, but not required
Good understanding of ServiceNow Service Portfolio Management (SPM).
Familiarity with network protocols and data collection techniques.
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to evolving project needs.
