Clean Water Action
Join Clean Water Action's canvass team to fight against environmental rollbacks at the national level, and pass progressive policies at the state and local level. Clean Water Action is hiring community organizers to call our existing members and develop long‑term sustaining donors for our environmental work.
Responsibilities
Our current campaigns include fighting against anti‑clean water bills at the Federal level, banning toxic chemicals in consumer goods, banning monopoly utilities from making policy, and banning intentionally added microplastics in consumer goods.
Play a phone canvass role that is part‑time, providing flexible scheduling, with a minimum commitment of 6 months.
Work shifts Monday‑Friday in the evenings with a starting rate of $18 hourly.
All employees must be located in the Pittsburgh area.
Receive training and ongoing support on communication, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and other soft skills needed for professional and personal relationships.
Focus on career development with opportunities to travel and move into leadership positions.
Gain daily opportunities to deepen knowledge about environment and public health issues, advocacy, campaign strategies, and local, state, and federal politics.
Enjoy a casual but engaging workplace environment.
