The Audit Senior or Supervisor is responsible for assisting our internal team with the attestation of our clients and financial reporting for our clients. This includes examination of the financial record keeping and reporting processes and possible tax assignments. This position also allows for acquisition of knowledge about the broader scope of the business, the Firm, builds client relationships and maintains smooth working relationships. This includes managing multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Review and possibly oversee all phases of compilations, reviews, and audits of financial statements
Perform more complex attestation services, including, but not limited to: accrued liabilities, investments, and inventory
Assist the client with complex accounting transactions and manage internal teams for successful completion
Review the workpapers for completeness and accuracy
Delegate and oversee the initial preparation and set-up of client files and engagement letters
Develop a work plan and timeline for the engagement and delegate work accordingly
Review sample sizes and transactions to be tested
Work effectively within given budgetary parameters
Prepare and review client financial statements and related documents
Research and prepare memos on technical issues
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 150 credit hours
2+ or 4+ years of progressively challenging Public Accounting experience (Depending on position)
Strong computer skills and proficiency in various accounting and other software, including Microsoft Office Suite
Strong working knowledge of all areas of the general ledger
Strong knowledge of financial statement procedures and the ability to distinguish between material and immaterial items
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and knowledge of review, compilation, and auditing standards
The annual salary range for this position is: $72,000 - $130,000. This salary range reflects the anticipated responsibilities and qualifications of a successful candidate for this role. Final compensation may vary depending on an individual's experience, knowledge, and skills. Individuals may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of incentives, commissions, profit sharing, and more, depending on the role.
