Fixed Plant Maintenance Technician - Midshift We are looking for a dedicated Fixed Plant Maintenance Technician to work the mid‑shift (approx. 4 p.m. – 2 a.m.) at Boone Quarry in Verona, KY. This full‑time role is critical to maintaining the operation’s crushing, screening, and conveying equipment. Entry‑level candidates are welcome; experienced technicians are preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on stationary crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues with crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, and other plant systems.

Replace or repair bearings, belts, pulleys, motors, gearboxes, liners, and other plant components as needed.

Conduct welding, cutting, and fabrication work to repair or modify equipment and structures.

Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and setup of new plant components.

Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.

Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient plant operations.

Operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklift, skid steer, manlift) as needed for maintenance tasks.

Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.

Participate in daily safety meetings and communicate equipment issues promptly to supervisors.

Required Qualifications

Dedication to safe work practices.

Previous maintenance experience in a similar environment.

Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs.

Willingness to work a regular 4 p.m. – 2 a.m. shift, overtime, weekends, and outside in a variety of conditions.

Pass a pre‑employment drug screening test.
