We have partnered with our client in their search for a IT Business Architect for a remote contract opportunity.
Base pay range $75.00/hr - $90.00/hr
Responsibilities
Responsible for interpreting and contextualizing strategy for operational needs and business value.
Develops and maintains specific artifacts such as business capability maps and value streams to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution.
Drive rationalization for larger/more complex/new systems & applications.
Works closely with Sr. Directors and Directors of Product Owners, Architects, and business teams to influence roadmaps and how they align to enterprise business capability framework.
Assess existing business capabilities and processes for opportunities to rationalize and optimize.
Provides oversight and recommendations for system and application projects in line with organizational goals and business capability domains.
Recognized as a thought leader within discipline who influences decisions made by senior leadership and advances the craft of business architecture within our organization.
Adopts and promotes a business capability lens/mindset across Solutions Delivery within Experience and Technology teams to enable the business and IT to better strategize, prioritize and develop solutions to meet business needs and advance the USRM Strategy.
Collaborates with technology squads/teams and product owners to develop a strong understanding of the technologies and systems they support.
Work both independently and as part of a team as you manage a portfolio of projects to include those considered complex in nature with function-wide and enterprise impact.
Provides updates to manager and collaborates with manager regarding highly complex matters requiring escalation.
Manage the entire lifecycle of the project, from problem identification to research and analysis and resolution and close out.
Skills Required
Excellent strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of agile development methodologies and value stream mapping among other process tools
Strong ability to understand linkages between strategy and technology and/or integrating technology with business strategy
Ability to establish and build effective relationships across the organization
Strong ability to adapt and address unique challenges in a collaborative and creative way
Ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely to technical and business leaders
Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders
Strong experimental mindset to drive solutions amongst uncertainty
Experience with Technology Portfolio Management and Governance
Experience developing and implementing technology governance solutions
Six Sigma, Agile and/or Project Management certifications preferred
Expert skills in Excel and Power Point
Education & Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent, Master's Degree Preferred
8+ years of experience
