Director of Ambulatory Behavioral Health Services
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens, is seeking a full‑time board certified Psychiatrist for the position of Director of Ambulatory Behavioral Health Services. This leadership position will be responsible for day‑to‑day operations of the Integrated Outpatient Adult Services which includes Adult PHP, Adult IOP, ACT, OnTrack, TMS and general outpatient psychiatric services. The service cares for over 5,000 patients per year.
Oversight responsibilities include the recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation of all staff. A strong academic interest in teaching and supervising psychiatric residents is essential.
Qualifications: MD degree, board certified in Psychiatry, 3–5 years in a leadership role, current New York State license, Medicaid number and DEA number. Candidates should have an academic background and a proven record of program leadership in behavioral health settings.
Compensation and benefits: Mount Sinai/Elmhurst offers a collegial environment and competitive salary ($270k–$305k) along with full benefits.
