Synergy Care is adding an additional speech language pathologist to our staff at our long-term care facility in Baytown, TX. Whether you are an experienced therapist or a CF, we would love to have you join our team.
Job Description: Conducting assessments : Evaluating patients to determine eligibility for therapy and developing individualized treatment plans. Implementing therapy sessions : Planning and executing therapy sessions that address communication and swallowing disorders. Documenting patient progress : Keeping detailed records of patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Collaborating with other professionals : Working with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and other therapists, to provide comprehensive care. Providing education and support : Educating patients and their families about communication strategies and techniques to support progress outside of therapy sessions. Staying current with research
: Engaging in continuous professional development and staying informed about advancements in the field of speech-language pathology. These roles are essential for the development of clinical competence and the transition from academic training to independent clinical practice.
Qualifications :
Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Graduation within the next six (6) months is acceptable Current ASHA Certification of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility for certification Valid state license (where appropriate) as a Speech Therapist
