What You’ll Do
- Strategic Analysis & Insights: Collect, process, and analyze complex data to proactively identify, define, and scope new analytic initiatives that address key business challenges and growth opportunities.
- Business Translation & Communication: Translate complex data findings into actionable insights to inform business strategy, product development, and executive decision‑making. Maintain a consultative approach to data projects, artfully articulating the analysis and narrative to non‑technical audiences.
- End‑to‑End Solution Ownership: Take full ownership of delivering quality projects to the business, applying rigor to business requirements, design, and aftercare of the solution when deployed.
- Technical Modeling & Tooling: Utilize Equifax’s diverse data sources to craft solutions using various analytical and modeling techniques with appropriate open‑source and/or proprietary tooling.
- Data Quality & Governance: Design and maintain foundational data models, ensuring data integrity, governance, and quality for high‑reliability reporting and analysis.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a Technical SME, providing guidance, coaching, and technical assistance to junior data analysts, analytical consultants, and other team members to elevate the team’s overall productivity.
What Experience Do You Need
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to rapidly learn new business and data assets, applying findings to drive tangible business impact.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in identifying, gathering, transforming, and analyzing complex data within and across database platforms (Mastery‑level SQL required).
- Expert level proficiency in developing and maintaining complex, dynamic dashboards using Tableau or other leading business intelligence tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a comparable quantitative discipline; Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) highly preferred.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to consult, influence, and translate technical concepts for business leaders and non‑technical stakeholders.
What Could Set You Apart
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other statistical programming languages for modeling and advanced analysis.
- Direct experience building, loading, transforming, and analyzing data within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar major cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Prior work experience in the SaaS or FinTech industry driving strategic analytics for pricing, sales, or marketing functions.
- Work experience with regulated data.
- Work experience using AI/Generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini, CoPilot) to accelerate workflow, improve code efficiency, or identify novel insights.
