Responsibilities

• Work varying shifts as part of a 24/7 news operation, including weekends, holidays, and overnight.
• Assist editors and management with newsroom operations.
• Conduct interviews with newsmakers.
• Monitor and contribute to social media.
• Identify news stories and ideas to pitch to editors and management.

Qualifications

• Radio production and journalism background strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with leveraging social media platforms.
• Strong ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of current events and industry trends.
• Proficient with office software, newsroom software, and audio/video editing tools a plus.

Salary

The anticipated starting salary range for New York‑based candidates is $17.61/hr–$19.33/hr, adjusted based on education, experience, skills, and location.
