The Office of Economic Assistance is seeking a motivated individual with experience in Child Support Enforcement for the DHHS Child Support Enforcement (Title IV-D) Director position. In this position you will implement innovative initiatives to improve the program and enhance access for families across Nebraska. “You have the passion; we have the opportunities – let’s make a difference for Nebraskans!” Responsibilities

Oversee the program, policy, and operational functions of the Nebraska Child Support Enforcement program. Establish and direct activities to ensure Nebraska meets all requirements at the federal, state, and agency levels. Have a deep understanding of policy, legislation, standards, and regulations governing the Child Support Enforcement program. Coordinate a team of experts in the creation, enhancement, and management of the assigned programs. Effectively partner with internal and external stakeholders to increase access and effectiveness of the assigned programs for the people of Nebraska. Administer the program with the ability to prepare policy briefs and research on the impact of enhancements to the Child Support program. Research federal and state legislation, statutes, and regulations to implement and enhance the program. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in public administration, social work, human development, public health, behavioral science, law, finance, human resources or other program related field

AND

four years of experience in a field related to the assigned program area including supervisory experience.

OR

A Master’s degree in any of the above mentioned fields and two years’ commensurate experience. Equivalent experience or coursework/training may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications: Must have the ability to influence decision-making and build high-level relationships while also demonstrating proficiency in managing a multitude of complex projects and streamlining the operation of the program and to include strategic planning. Prefer 5-7 years working in the Child Support Enforcement program or related field. Prefer 2-5 years of experience in developing, analyzing, implementing and oversight of federal or state policy and legislation. This Administrator will work closely with senior leadership to streamline strategic initiatives and align priorities. Experience with handling sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion. Develop and maintain strong, effective, and professional working relationships, both internally and with external partners. Ability to work effectively with multiple teams and departments. Other Requirements

Valid driver’s license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong leadership and communication skills, excellent organizational and time-management abilities, and capacity for high-impact problem-solving. Ability to anticipate agency and program needs and proactively resolve issues before they arise. Exceptional foresight to identify potential challenges and develop effective and timely solutions.
