Radar Systems Engineer

Radar Systems Engineer
to support Defense programs. This position involves developing and documenting complex electronic and electrical system requirements, collaborating with customers, and translating requirements into system architecture, hardware, software designs, and interface specifications. Key Responsibilities
Lead design, development, analysis, or review tasks on complex radar engineering projects as part of development, sustainment, or operations and maintenance teams. Plan, oversee, and support radar engineering activities, including control, microwave engineering, antenna theory, signal processing, communications, and computer engineering. Research, design, develop, manufacture, test, install, integrate, sustain, operate, and maintain diverse software, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and systems. Develop and document complex system requirements, collaborate with customers, and translate those requirements into system architecture, hardware/software designs, and interface specifications. Coordinate with engineering, logistics, financial, and program management teams to define system specifications and requirements. Write and manage system and software requirements according to customer specifications; develop and maintain technical documentation and system specifications to conform with company and contractual standards. Research emerging technologies for potential application to business needs and make recommendations for investments. Prepare and deliver technical papers, perform engineering studies, and support the development of technical proposals, including assessing the technical content and level of effort. Generate complete design specifications, analyses, and design reviews for complex projects; lead testing and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Required Qualifications
Security Clearance:
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government-issued Secret clearance. Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field and
10+ years
of relevant radar system experience; or Master’s degree in the same fields with
7+ years
of relevant radar system experience.
Experience in technical writing, creating technical drawings, requirements documentation, system development schedules, performance specifications, and presenting to management and customers. Proficiency in traditional systems engineering processes, including requirements analysis, architecture development, trade studies, and risk management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
Security Clearance:
Active, in-scope Secret U.S. Security Clearance. Experience in designing, developing, and analyzing radar systems and software architectures. Proficiency in signal processing techniques for complex propagation environments. Experience conducting technical training and mentoring in workplace settings. Expertise in analysis and algorithm development using MATLAB, C/C++, or Python. Compensation
