Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline required.

10 years experience in sales, sales management, business planning and/or a comparable role.

5 years experience in a sales management position.

Background in executing and managing demanding corporate initiatives. Ability to plan and manage both strategic and operational levels.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong time management and organization skills.

Strong technical product knowledge preferred.

Proven ability to analyze markets and competitive trends.

Ability to operate with a high sense of urgency and personal initiative, and manage multiple deadlines with good coordination and communication.

Passionate commitment to quality, follow-through and high attention to detail.

Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays.

Duties And Responsibilities

Interact with senior management, sales teams, marketing, plant managers, customers, dealers, builders, distributors and design influences daily.

Maintain a consultative selling standard and excellent interpersonal skills with executive-level customers and channel partners.

Collaborate with colleagues to foster a results-oriented team environment aligned with company goals.

Drive attainment of sales, profitability and corporate objectives within the functional scope.

Drive national sales attainment through recognized market channels in line with company strategies.

Work with Marketing Manager to align marketing programs with sales outreach.

Manage and execute the overall sales process and establish reporting metrics that align with company goals.

Develop pricing policies and practices to achieve contribution margin and profitability goals (including discounts, rebates, terms, and conditions).

Collaborate with VP, Sales Operations to ensure success with targeted outreach programs and projects; monitor reporting activities and address sales challenges.

Coordinate activity with the VP, Sales Operations and the inside sales/business development function.

Execute outreach programs for home center sales and those on the special order/contractor desk.

Execute and report on rebate and customer incentive processes.

Develop equitable sales objectives and quotas to exceed financial objectives; design and distribute reports accordingly.

Plan and execute new product and service introductions; recommend new products/services for R&D and introduction.

Collaborate with sales leadership and HR on sales changes, development, and training delivery.

Ensure sales objectives and incentive programs are aligned with leadership.

Execute changes in sales assignments and deployment as needed.

Work with sales management to communicate and reinforce corporate and sales strategies.
