Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP, PA-C) - Memory Brain & Wellness Clinic Part-time ARNP/Nurse Practitioner or PA-C to join the Memory Brain & Wellness Center (MBWC). WORK SCHEDULE: 50% FTE, 20 hours per week, Day shift. Location is conveniently located near public transportation. $10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine Harborview Medical Center.

Overview The Memory & Brain Wellness Center promotes the well-being of persons living with memory loss and their families, by providing exceptional care, advancing scientific understanding in the Alzheimer\'s Disease Research Center, and building dementia-friendly communities. The Health Care Specialist performs examinations, establishes diagnoses, and determines appropriate treatment and/or referrals for medical problems.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Records medical histories, perform physical examinations, order and/or perform diagnostic tests, evaluate test results, establish diagnoses and prescribe medication and/or treatment

Provides health education; assist with proper utilization of community social and health care resources

Supports and assists physicians in the provision of services during physician visits and assumes responsibility for care under guidelines set forth by team

Provides advanced nursing and medical management services, including prescription writing to patients needing treatments and follow-up care

Perform perioperative care to include postoperative care, in-patient rounds, consult service and other follow up care

Coordination of care for patients throughout treatment

Minimum Requirements

Master’s Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing AND Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges AND National certification as a Nurse Practitioner AND BLS certification

OR Physician Assistant: Licensure as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Washington with national certification from NCCPA; eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medical Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions; AND BLS certification

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details Pay Range Minimum: $121,392.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum: $189,876.00 annual
