Senior Associate | Engineering, Operations & Supply Chain SkyWater is partnering with an industry leading organization who’s looking to hire a Sr. Electrical Controls Engineer for their team! Our client is a small business based in the Northwest suburbs who’s been consistently growing over the last few years (about 20%). This is a new role due to their growth, and the Sr. Electrical Controls Engineer will be responsible for leading the electrical design, programming, & integration of control systems across a range of complex, custom‑engineered projects. We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field of study), 5+ years of electrical or controls engineering experience (or combination of experience), and experience working on large custom projects. Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of custom electrical control systems for large structures.

Create schematics, electrical panel layouts, and system documentation.

Program PLCs and HMIs (Rockwell Studio 5000).

Support field installation and commissioning of electrical systems on projects.

Collaborate with clients, contractors, and cross‑functional engineering teams.

Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Desired Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

5+ years of experience in an Electrical or Controls Engineering position (or combination of positions).

Hands‑on experience with PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, or motor controllers.

Proficient with Rockwell Studio 5000 preferred.

Ability to occasionally travel for work (about 10% - 15%).

Location: Minneapolis, MN; Salary: $110,000.00–$150,000.00.
