Overview

Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr. The Walmart Marketplace is a curated community of respected, professional sellers who offer top-quality, authentic products and best-in-class customer service. You will be responsible for recruiting and launching our next generation of Marketplace sellers, working with the category seller growth teams to assess market opportunities, competitive trends, and develop acquisition strategies to attract new accounts, expand assortment, and increase inventory. You will manage the end-to-end business development lifecycle from sourcing to transactability, ensuring new sellers are equipped for immediate success. Impact and responsibilities

Managing a sales pipeline: Prospect and manage a pipeline of high-value, strategic accounts across key categories. Develop creative solutions to identify new prospects and build a strong pipeline.

Launching new sellers: Create a clear value proposition for selling on Walmart.com and successfully launch new sellers to achieve quarterly targets. Set proper expectations and manage towards a growth plan.

Building relationships with key decision makers: Develop relationships with senior management of prospective accounts and internal stakeholders to develop business plans that exceed expectations. Understand sellers’ goals, decision-making processes, and success metrics.

Driving new partner success: Oversee onboarding for new strategic sellers and develop initial targets and action plans to accelerate item setup and improve offer quality and discoverability.

Advocating for the platform: Champion our platform and its evolving capabilities to prospective sellers. Drive awareness and adoption of services including Walmart Fulfilment Services (WFS) and Walmart Connect. Attend external events to generate new partner opportunities.

Being seller obsessed: Listen to seller feedback and partner with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the platform and experience.

Thinking creatively: Develop and test new partnerships or services that create shared value for sellers, customers, and Walmart.

Qualifications Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 3 years’ experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in those areas.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in sales; Master’s degree in relevant fields; Supervisory experience; Experience working with cross-functional teams.
