Base pay range
$140,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Partner with regional and site leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support business objectives across multiple DCs. Drive workforce planning, succession, and organizational design initiatives to ensure operational readiness and talent pipeline strength. Lead HR transformation and process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and engagement.
Labor & Employee Relations
Serve as primary HR point of contact for all union-related matters, including collective bargaining, grievance administration, and labor contract interpretation. Build and maintain productive relationships with union representatives and local leadership. Ensure consistent application of labor policies and compliance with federal and state labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, NLRA, etc.). Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on employee relations issues, investigations, and corrective actions.
Talent Management & Development
Oversee recruitment and retention strategies for exempt and non-exempt roles across multiple DCs. Partner with site HR and operations to drive performance management, leadership development, and engagement initiatives. Identify and mentor high-potential HR talent across the region to ensure strong bench strength.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Lead HR audits, risk assessments, and reporting to corporate HR and operations leadership. Oversee workplace safety initiatives in collaboration with EHS and operations teams. Track and analyze HR KPIs (turnover, absenteeism, headcount, employee engagement) to identify trends and implement corrective strategies. Champion a culture of accountability, diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a multi-site or regional HR leadership role. Proven experience managing in
union environments —including negotiations, grievances, and arbitration. Strong knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and HR best practices. Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and build strong partnerships across operations. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Willingness to travel regularly between distribution centers (10%) Seniority level
