This role supports the Vision Center operations at Walmart, including merchandise presentation, pricing, signing, in-stock and inventory management, budgeting and forecasting, and community engagement to drive sales and customer service excellence. What you’ll do
Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Models and guides Associates on customer and member service approaches to resolve needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines and standards. Oversees community outreach programs and encourages Associates to participate as good community members. Ensures compliance with Company policies, procedures, and regulations; analyzes and interprets reports, monitors asset protection and safety controls, and leads safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews. Develops and implements action plans to improve performance; directs Vision Center Associates in executing Company programs and strategic initiatives; ensures confidentiality of information and records. Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing performance, and fostering a sense of belonging. Ensures the provision of quality eyewear by educating Members/Customers, assisting with product selection based on needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, and maintaining equipment and records. Upholds Walmart’s Open Door Policy by engaging with Associates to address concerns and resolve issues. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and relationships with key stakeholders to meet customer and business needs and measure progress. Maintains compliance with company policies and supports ethics and integrity initiatives as part of daily operations. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
